Shop the Sales in Madrid for only $485

Libertyville, IL, December 28, 2012—January is the month of rebajas, which means “sales” in Spanish, so TourCrafters has put together a five-day, land-only shopping trip in the Spanish capital that starts as low as $485.

 

The Madrid package includes four nights’ accommodation at the modern 4-star Hotel Vincci Soho (or similar), arrival transfer, daily buffet breakfast, a Tapa Hopping Aperitif Tour (2 hours, 4 bars, including wine and tapas), a tap and wine at Cinco Jotas Restaurant, a tapa and wine at El Corte Ingles department store (plus a 10% discount on shopping), hotel service charges and taxes.

 

Lucky shoppers may be able to pay for the package with savings on Manolos (Blahnik’s mother was Spanish), but there are also great bargains in the designer shops on Calles Serrano and Goya, on fashions at Zara and Mango, on leather goods at Loewe and El Caballo, on Majorca pearls, on Lladro Porcelain and on just about everything at El Corte Ingles.  It’s also fun to shop at the Rastro, Madrid’s antiques flea market or at the Mercado de San Miguel, one of the city’s oldest covered markets, now renovated, which offers a great variety of the best food products in a magnificent setting.

 

There are also three world-class art museums in Madrid, the famous Retiro Park and the beautiful 17^th-century Plaza Mayor, not to mention some top-rated restaurants.  Also worthwhile is an excursion to the Royal Monastery and Palace of the Escorial.

 

From January 2 to 31 the price of the package is $485, but it is also available from February 1 to March 31 for $675 (except during trade show and fair periods).  All prices are per person, double occupancy, and are subject to availability.  Reservations must be paid for within 72 hours of booking.
