ANNAPOLIS RESTAURANT WEEK BIGGER THAN EVER

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND—Individuals in search of great food at a reasonable price are invited to pamper their palates during Annapolis Restaurant Week, February 20-26, 2012. Presented by the Annapolis Business Association, the fourth annual event is the largest ever. Forty-one restaurants in Historic and greater Annapolis have confirmed their involvement thus far.

Participating establishments will be offering two-course, price-fixed lunches for $15.95 and three-course, price-fixed dinners for $32.95. For the first time ever, breakfasts are being added to the mix. Two recently opened restaurants, the Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge and Miss Shirley’s Café, will be offering a two-course, price-fixed breakfast for $12.95.

Event Chair Erin Brunst McNaboe says Restaurant Week provides a welcome opportunity for area residents and visitors to treat themselves to the award winning cuisine that Maryland’s capital city is famous for. “Annapolis Restaurant Week provides the perfect excuse for getting together with family and friends for a night out of the kitchen and on the town. With so many options, they’ll want to set aside a few nights. That way, they can visit their favorite haunts and sample some new restaurants they haven’t yet experienced – all at a very affordable price.”

Participating restaurants include: Annapolis Grill, Azure Restaurant at Westin Annapolis, The Boatyard Bar & Grill, BREEZE at Loews Annapolis, Buddy’s Crabs & Ribs, Café Normandie, Cantler’s Riverside Inn, Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen, Carrol’s Creek Café, Chart House, Fado Irish Pub and Restaurant, Federal House Bar & Grille, Galway Bay, Harry Browne’s, Hell Point Seafood, John Barry Restaurant at the O’Callaghan, Lemongrass, Luna Blu Ristorante Italiano, Lures Bar and Grille, The Main Ingredient Café, McGarvey’s Saloon & Oyster Bar, The Melting Pot, Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge, Middleton Tavern, Miss Shirley’s Café, O’Brien’s Oyster Bar, O’Leary’s Seafood, Paul’s Homewood Café, Pusser’s Caribbean Grille, Rams Head Tavern, Reynolds Tavern, Ristorante La Piccola Roma, The Rockfish, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Sam’s on the Waterfront, Severn Inn, Treaty of Paris at the Maryland Inn, Tsunami, Vin 909 Winecafe, The Wild Orchid Café, and Yellowfin Steak & Fish House.

Free transportation aboard the City Circulator will make it easier than ever before for individuals to get to and from their favorite participating restaurants. The trolley’s 2.1 mile loop between West Gate Circle and City Dock features 15 designated stops, including each of the City’s four parking garages – Knighton, Park Place, Gott’s Court and Hillman. Circulator drivers will also stop for passengers who hail the trolley anywhere along the central business district loop. 

As an added incentive for patrons to return to Annapolis when Restaurant Week is over,  MainStreets Annapolis Partnership (MAP) and the City of Annapolis are teaming up to provide parking vouchers that entitle the bearer to one day of free parking at Knighton or Park Place garages in the month of March. Participating restaurants will present the vouchers to their guests as a thank you for their Restaurant Week patronage. The restaurateurs will also distribute Plates and Perks cards. Provided by MAP, the cards encourage shoppers to visit their favorite stores to take advantage of special March offers. Participating merchants will display the card in their windows.
