Alpharetta Celebrates Restaurant Week

We’ve always said that in Alpharetta you can Stay Here, Play Here because of our 23 exceptional hotels and a myriad of dining, shopping and entertainment options.  In March, we’d like to welcome you to Wine Here, Dine Here thanks in part to Flavors Magazine and its first ever Restaurant Week, March 3-10, 2012.  It’s a perfect time to visit and experience prix-fixe lunch and dinner specials at some of Alpharetta’s newest and most exciting dining destinations.  The following is a sampling with more participants to be announced soon.

La Casa Italian Grill recently opened in a beautifully renovated, downtown Alpharetta cottage.  The owner, Pasquale Cardamuro, has been serving Italian food in Georgia for more than 30 years and has finally brought his three generations of knowledge and experience to Alpharetta.  Here, all dishes are crafted from scratch, and all sauces, breads and desserts are made in house.  But when you visit you’ll find that Cardamuro’s mission is not only to serve great food - it’s also to make each guest feel right at home.  Savor hospitality, and an incredible meal, at La Casa.

Also downtown is the very popular Pure Taqueria, spawned by the acclaimed Sedgewick Restaurant Group. Incorporating a restored 1920’s era Pure Oil gas station into its eye-pleasing corner location, Pure has become a local institution because of its authentic Mexican food and powerhouse margaritas.  Try the off the chart fish tacos, “street” tostados or corn-masa turnovers at this hip, sophisticated, loud and fun destination for lunch or dinner.  Oh, and did we mention delicious?

Now open on Windward Parkway, Firefly offers a warm and stylish atmosphere with an open dining area, expansive bar and live entertainment Thursday through Saturday evenings.  The menu offers exceptional seafood, pork chops, lamb chops and hand cut steaks, as well as casual fare such as burgers, ribs and stone fire pizzas, and an excellent selection of wine, beer and cocktails.  Dine at a cozy table by the fire or enjoy a meal alfresco at this unique dining locale.

An unrelenting pursuit of freshness is what sets The Taco Stand apart from other Mexican restaurants.  With three wildly successful Athens locations, the restaurant now provides the freshest Mexican dining around and a fun and inviting atmosphere right here in Alpharetta. Enjoy the made-from-scratch chips, salsa and guacamole along with an amazing selection of nachos, burritos, tacos and fajitas.  They say “if it’s not fresh, it’s not handmade, it’s not in our kitchen, not on the menu, and not on your plate”.  Believe it.

 

A meal at Benihana is not just a meal, it's an experience. Food is prepared to order by a showman chef on the hibachi grill right before your eyes.  Tender steaks, juicy chicken, succulent seafood and savory sushi is prepared with all the flair that has made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine.  Don't miss Banzai Hour each Monday-Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the sushi bar and cocktail lounge.

 

Celebrate Restaurant Week in Alpharetta with a visit to a new eatery, or a new dish at one of your old favorites.  All participating restaurants will offer prix-fixed lunch and dinner menus in one of three price ranges.  Lunch will be two-courses priced at $10, $15 or $20 and dinner will be three-courses at $20, $25 or $30 with at least three options for each course.
