NEW YORK – (June 19, 2012) – The Pierre, A Taj Hotel on New York’s Central Park, has introduced new Taj Royal Attaché services just for guests staying in the hotel’s 11 Grand Suites, luxuriousaccommodations with gracious living and entertaining spaces.
“Genuine inspired Indian hospitality has been a hallmark of Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces for more than 100 years. This is particularly true in our royal palace hotels, where our highly trained royal butlers offer the finest personalized services to very discerning clientele. We are now bringing this Taj royal treatment to our U.S. flagship in New York,” said Raymond N. Bickson, Taj Hotels Managing Director and CEO.
A team of Taj Royal Attachés, all with extensive experience assisting royalty, heads of state and CEOs from around the world, will offer warm, intuitive palace-style services to Grand Suite guests at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel. The idea is for guests to feel they are coming home to a gracious, extremely well-staffed Fifth Avenue apartment where they are the ‘king’ and ‘queen’ of the castle.
Kathleen Shea, Vice President of Sales and Marketing - the Americas played a key role in developing the program. “From thousands of highly skilled candidates in India, we hand-selected three talented Taj Royal Attaches to join The Pierre, A Taj Hotel’s team. Their expertise coupled with the Taj Royal Attaché program showcases the brand’s celebrated Indian hospitality in a very tangible way. One stay with a Royal Attaché and it’ll be Taj Forever,” she stated.
The Taj Royal Attaché team at The Pierre, A Taj Hotel hails from the award-winning Taj Mahal in New Delhi, India’s “Washington, D.C.” that is the country’s seat of government with an extensive diplomatic corps, and the dreamy Taj Lake Palace that “floats” in the middle of Udapiur’s Lake Pichola in Rajasthan, the princely state that is home to many palaces with royalty still in residence.
