InterContinental Hong Kong Announces Packages for Couples Just in Time for Valentine’s Day
HONG KONG, January 30, 2008 --- This Valentine’s Day, sweep that special someone off their feet with a romantic experience at InterContinental Hong Kong. The Asia-Pacific flagship for InterContinental Hotels Group, the hotel celebrates the completion of a US$70 million, 5-year renovation just in time for Cupid to make a visit with the launch of new romantic experiences, which are available on Valentine’s Day and all year long.
The hotel introduces two new specialty suites with large terraces and outdoor Jacuzzis, along with a series of Patio Rooms including teak decks and glass walls – all with spectacular panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. There’s no more extraordinary vantage point from which to experience Hong Kong.
Enjoy the height of romance with the “Romance with Style” Terrace Suite Experience, a two-night stay in the new suite. Complete with a private rooftop terrace with an infinity edge Jacuzzi overlooking Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island and 24-hour butler service, this package includes a special outdoor bedroom set-up one night for “sleeping under the stars,” along with Bentley chauffeured limousine transfers, a bottle of Dom Perignon upon arrival, plus a private romantic dinner for two on the private harbourview terrace. Guests will also enjoy a Couples’ I-Spa Treatment and private tai chi class on the suite’s private terrace, along with a butler-drawn candlelit “Romance Bath” in the suite’s sexy oversized Jacuzzi. Upon request, the concierge can arrange an evening harbor cruise for two to view the nightly Symphony of Lights. (The suite’s private terrace also provides spectacular views of the Light Show.)

Planning to pop the question on Valentine’s Day? The hotel launches “Proposals with Style – by Land, Sea or Sky” – an exclusive personalized service to help grooms-to-be plan a truly memorable and unique proposal. The hotel’s Proposal Consultant assists in planning the details for the romantic stay, including the big surprise – a customized 5,000 square foot banner reading “Will You Marry Me?” either cruising by the suite’s private terrace by on boat; or flying by the terrace by helicopter at the designated time. The package includes a one-night stay in the Terrace or CEO Suite, both with large outdoor terraces with infinity edge Jacuzzis overlooking Victoria Harbour. Also included are Bentley chauffeured limousine transfers and a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne upon arrival. The “Proposals with Style” package organizes the hire of Saffron Cruises’ “Tarragon” luxury boat to sail past the harbourview terrace with the customized banner as the groom-to-be pops the question. The Proposal Consultant can also arrange for the sign to fly by via helicopter.
The “Proposals with Style” stay includes a gourmet candlelit dinner personally crafted gourmet menu by Executive Chef Laurent Andre. For the celebratory dinner, included is a special wine selection, floral decorations with aromatherapy candles adorning the dinner table and a customized floral bouquet for the bride-to-be. The guest’s choice of a private two-hour saxophone or violin performance adds background music to the ambiance. After dinner, the suite’s private butler will draw a candle-lit aromatherapy “Romance Bath” for two and arrange a private breakfast on the private terrace the following morning.

The groom-to-be can prepare himself for this milestone with a Stressbuster Treatment, which includes a cleansing body scrub and full body stress relieving massage. Next is a deep cleansing facial with a ‘man’-icure to complete this pre-proposal package to leave the gentleman feeling relaxed and stylish for the big night.
